Ed Templeton’s Teenage Kissers is currently up at the Half Gallery in the LES. The show opened on June 23rd and closes on July 25th. I was at the opening and it was, quite predictably, a three ring circus. Templeton’s photos are thought provoking and really brought me back to my teenage years. They were a sad reminder of just how much kissing I didn’t do as a teenager, and surprisingly I still really enjoyed the show, so much so that I bought a copy of his new book.

The Half Gallery is, as the name suggests, half an art gallery. Saying the space is small is a gross understatement. With that said, Bill Powers, the gallery owner, always gets pretty big names to show in his modest space. Seeing as how this show is about to come down, I’ll be looking forward to the next show to take its place.
